Linda Stahr began homeschooling in 2007 and discovered LEMI in 2018 in Key of Liberty mentor training. She was immediately captivated by the power of Leadership Education; she has since trained in nearly every LEMI project, and has a special love for the American history projects and QUEST. Teaching online since 2020, Linda is passionate about helping scholars discover their unique gifts, develop a love of learning, and find their place in the cause of freedom. She feels privileged to mentor students as they uncover and pursue their personal missions.

Key of Liberty - LEMI Scholar Project

What is liberty? Who should be free? Where does freedom come from?

Key of Liberty scholars earn their own Key of Liberty and ribbons as they explore the morals, values, principles, and people that influenced the formation of the United States of America. Scholars will read and discuss freedom classics, study and memorize core documents including the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, participate in historical simulations, and compete in a Constitution Bowl!

Georgics Project - LEMI Scholar Project

All mankind are creators!

Through making, growing, raising, harvesting, selling, and more, Georgics Scholars experience the tangible, real results of the 7 Georgic Principles: Providence, Mission, Self-Validation, Ownership, Community Stewardship, Local Interdependence, and Entrepreneurialism.

Sword of Freedom - LEMI Scholar Project

Find the Hero within!

Sword of Freedom and Hero Project scholars begin to find the heroes within themselves, as they learn about the people, issues, and consequences of both the United States Civil War (Sword, Semester 1), and World War II (Hero, Semester 2).

As scholars read classics, biographies, and pivotal speeches, participate in impactful simulations, and create powerful Hero Projects of their own, they are inspired to:

Explore principles of war like just cause, right intention, and proper authority
Consider public virtue and leadership in times of crisis
Witness how families and individuals face life-changing challenges, and
Recognize the impactful power of individual choice!

Pyramid Project - LEMI Scholar Project

Why do I need to know this? How am I going to use this in life?

Approach math and science in the context of history and discovery, with Pyramid Project! Mathematicians and scientists are real, complex people who have developed the ability to use logic and the habits of a scientist to increase and organize our understanding of the universe and its laws. An education in math and science is powerful - it provides a framework from which problems can be understood and solved!

From self-directed science projects, to the exploration of logic and fallacies, to a survey of philosophy, in Pyramid Project Semester 1, scholars hone a scholar’s ability to think and be curious!

QUEST 1 - LEMI Scholar Project

What qualities do some of the most positively impactful people in the world have in common? Whether studying Martin Luther, Patrick Henry, Harriet Tubman, or Mohandas Gandhi, there are traits that are universal, enduring, self-evident, and timeless. Quest invites scholars to dive into the complex lives and work of incredible people. Do we dismiss a person’s work because they believe something we don’t or did something wrong? How did they face obstacles, roadblocks, tests, trials, and traps? Can we find patterns in their lives that help us become better people ourselves? What habits and traits can we develop to increase our ability to become people of positive impact?

In-depth reading, writing, discussion, exams, oral presentations, research, and exploration of these ideas catapult a scholar’s vision, mission, abilities, skills, and knowledge to an exciting new level! Quest scholars will be amazed at what they are truly capable of as they begin to purposefully add value to the world in Quest 1!
